Queensland Pool Safety Requirements
In Queensland, pool safety laws apply to most pools and spas capable of holding 300mm or more of water. Pool owners are responsible for ensuring their pool fence complies with current safety standards and that the pool is registered.
A pool safety certificate (Form 23) is issued when a pool is compliant, while a Form 26 (Notice of Non Conformity) is issued when the pool barrier does not meet requirements and outlines what needs to be fixed.
Pool safety certificates may also be required when buying, selling or leasing a property with a pool.
